Hosting

GreenPocket offers you flexible hosting options.

Most of our customers implement and run GreenPocket software on their own servers. Optional we can provide hosting through a trusted third party hosting service.

Together with our hosting partner, we guarantee server availability and availability of the entire system including application, web and database servers of 99.95% on an annual average. Furthermore, Managed Hosting includes the complete setup of the system with maintenance, monitoring, backup and troubleshooting.

Regardless of the type or location of the chosen hosting option, a P- & QA-environment is recommended for uncomplicated operation of the software. This guarantees a controlled roll-out of regular updates as well as new functions and thus problem-free operation for the users of our solutions.

TECHNIcal requirements

We recommend the operation system: CentOS > 7.0 64bit. Or every 64-bit Windows or Linux system (no SUSE).
We recommend the processor: Quad-Core (or better)
For physical server: identical requirements, a bit higher hard drive capacity, dependent on the meter points

Application server

Fully compatible application server with Java-EE
Oracle JRE in the newest version

Web server

Our recommendation: Apache2 with vice versa proxy-functionality (mod_ajp/mod_http)
Can be interpreted as individual server
Safe communication thanks to HTTPS

Database server

Object-relational database: MySQL ≥ 5.5 or Oracle ≥ 12
Time Series database: InfluxDB
