12,000 visitors from 100 countries. 600 exhibitors, 2,000 representatives of energy suppliers. That was the EUW from 06 to 08 November 2018 in Vienna. GreenPocket was right in the middle - and can look back on an event with numerous international visitors and successful discussions.
Exchange at international level
The European Utility Week (EUW) is for GreenPocket one of the most important trade fairs for the international exchange of the latest technologies in the energy industry. That's why we presented the latest features of our Energy management software for business customers and our Energy Cockpit for residential customers to numerous interested visitors from all over the world at our booth.
The better solution with GreenPocket
The discussion with the international trade fair participants was also exciting for us, because the smart meter rollout and the expansion of the digital infrastructure of the numerous countries represented at the EUW have progressed quite differently. So it was a perfect opportunity to exchange experiences.
However, we were not only able to interest visitors in our solutions that do not yet have smart meter software. We also talked to users who already meet the legal requirements with their current software solution, but now want to replace their offer with a more appealing or user-friendly solution or add attractive added values - requirements that GreenPocket can meet with its software solutions.
A grand finale
After our successful appearance at the fair, the team stayed in Vienna: On the last day of the fair, the presentation of the results of the PEAKapp project promoted by Horizont 2020 took place at the same location. Within the project the GreenPocket software for residential customers was used and developed successfully. Among the speakers was, of course, our CEO Dr. Thomas Goette, who presented a live demo of the software and spoke about its positive effects on user experience and the churn rate of utility customers.
"Those were three intensive and very successful days," reported our CEO after his return to Cologne. "Not only were we able to make many valuable contacts, but we were also able to show in the PEAKapp final reports that our software can have clearly measurable positive effects on user behaviour. The result of the PEAKapp field study speak for itself: By using our software features, the churn rate of users could be reduced by up to 30% compared to the control group without the GreenPocket app. Of course, we now want to build upon these successes."
