Year after year, we return to Cologne from the industry meeting in Fulda full of enthusiasm, and this year was no different: two days full of inspiring presentations and discussions, exciting talks and valuable insights into the latest developments in the energy industry!
With 1,100 visitors, the event focussing on rollout, smart metering, energy management even set a new attendance record. Specialist experts came together for the 11th time to discover the latest developments, exchange ideas and discuss innovative solutions to the challenges facing the industry. The focus is on expanding one's own knowledge and network, discovering innovations and shaping the future together. The latest regulatory changes, challenges, news and best practices were discussed.
What do we take away from the event?
Sharing all the impressions and news at this point would go beyond the scope of this article, but to summarise, the following points, were exciting for us:
- The measurement rollout is increasingly becoming a control rollout: according to the legislator's idea, control should be suitable for mass use by 2025 - however, some industry experts believe that implementation is more likely to take place in 2026/2027 and, for the time being, only pilot projects in the coming year.
- In order to speed up the rollout, costs need to be reduced... However, the upper price limit is being raised.
- Theoretically, consumption values can be provided every second via intelligent metering systems (iMSys) - but we need to know what we need and want in order to minimise the amount of data.
- In some areas, there is a need for more clarity about the market roles of individuals in companies so that they can act correctly.
A big thank you to ZVEI Services for the excellent organisation and to all participants for this enriching event, to which we were also able to actively contribute with our stand and the presentation by our Managing Director. And of course to Mark Bollhorst for the great photos of the presentation! We are excited about all future developments and are already looking forward to metering days 2025 on 28 + 29 October and to continuing to drive the energy transition forward together!
